Install this before Day 1. It records your call audio and your webcam while the control room is rolling, and lets your coaches listen in live — so they can coach you in real time and your best calls make the show.

Setup takes 3 minutes

Bring your laptop (Mac with macOS 13 Ventura or newer), a wired USB headset, and your charger.

Click the button for your computer above.

Install & open

Mac: open the download and drag UA Recorder into Applications, then open it.

Enter your number

Enter your name and choose a number (1–110). Use a different number from other agents in your room. No WordPress roster registration is needed.

Allow access

Allow microphone, computer audio, and camera, run the sound check, and you’re in.

Opening on a Mac
  1. Open the download (UA-Recorder-LIA-1.5.9-mac.zip) — it unzips to UA Recorder.app. Drag UA Recorder into the Applications folder.
  2. Open UA Recorder from Applications and click Open when your Mac asks.
  3. The setup wizard opens — look for the UA Recorder icon in your Dock. Allow Microphone, Computer Audio, and Camera. When you allow computer audio, your Mac will ask you to Quit & Reopen — click it.
Updating or removing it
  1. New version? Install it the same way and click Replace. The app switches to the new version on its own (you may need to allow Mic & Computer Audio again).
  2. Uninstall: click the UA Recorder icon in your menu bar → Uninstall UA Recorder…

What it does — and doesn’t

Records your mic, your computer’s sound, and your webcam
Records only while the control room is recording
Your camera can turn on for setup testing. After setup it stays off until the control room presses Go Live.
Shows a red ● REC whenever it’s recording
After Go Live, a coach may listen in live and preview your webcam — you’ll see 🎧 LIVE (nothing is saved)
Built-in webcam is fine; a plugged-in USB webcam works too
Never records your screen or files
Doesn’t interfere with your dialer or Zoom
Uninstall any time after the event
